Aylmer Ontario is a quaint town in Southwestern Ontario, close to the shores of Lake Erie. It has a population of about 7500 people from all walks of life. It is rich in agriculture, much of which is farmed by the Amish and Mennonites, producing fresh vegetables, fruits and meats. The Amish and Mennonites are amazing craftsmen, making furniture that is sought after all over the country. It was at one time a very flourishing tobacco region, but not many farms are left now.
The Ontario Police College is just north of Aylmer; originally the Royal Canadian Air Force training facility. Sweet Magnolia House is a perfect resting spot to explore Aylmer and surrounding areas, with numerous attractions from its own live theatre and musicians to boutiques, antique shops, wineries, and children's amusement areas.
